`On Through The Night', the band's debut album, was released in 1980 and immediately put the rock world on notice. The band were destined for big things with the album charting at #15 in the UK and #51 in the US. Produced by Tom Allom (Judas Priest, Black Sabbath), it featured many of the band's live favorites and some updated versions of early singles. The album achieved platinum status in 1989 and has been remastered for this CD.

My all-time favorite Def Leppard recording
On Through The Night 1980. Def Leppards first album. Def Leppard evolved from the remains of a mid-late seventies rock group in Sheffield, England called Atomic Mass.

This is the best one...
This is one of the albums that Def Leppard made before they got really famous. Both "On through the night and HighnDry" are good albums.

Def Leppards Heaviest Album
Its difficult for me to say whether or not this is Def Leppards best album. My opinion is that Def Leppards best material is their first three albums: On Through the Night, High n Dry, and Pyromania.

The rock icon album of the modern era!! When the walls come tumbling down" and "Rock off" are the downright, slightly melodic equivalent of "Overkill" and "Bomber" by Motorhead and are worth the entire album! A M.U.S.T. !!!
