Hello. I figured keeping my topic in the same forum was correct. I am experiencing the same problem. Every time I try to make an .avi file of my disc, I get the exact same message 'Initialize the output module 'avi2' failed'. I have made an export log, but not sure what to do with it ... any help is appreciated.

"initialize the output module ... failed", it is usually because we failed to write data to the destination drive, maybe because of the system reason like writing privilege. Please try to change to other drive as destination. Or if you previously used an external drive as the destination, try to re-make a seletion, because sometimes the volume name of the external drive is changed.
