Burn Engines

Postby kisslover98 » 08 Dec 2009, 00:35

Could you explain to me the difference between the internal burn engines? The majority of my burning issues are with dual layer discs and I was wondering if there was a specific burn engine for the dual layers? I currently just leave the burning engine set to the default.

Thanks
John

The two internal burning engines are both compatible with dual layer discs. In fact, they haven't obvious differences, just being authorized by different company. We embedded them both in our program just in case one of them doesn't work, then you can use another one.

If you don't have nero software, the default engine is "internal burning engine 1". If you installed nero 6.6 (or the later version) it will automatically use nero burning engine to burn.

The burning issue is very complex, it depends on the burner, media and software as well. I suggest you email us the log file of Ideal DVD Copy. We'll give you exact instructions on how to solve this issue.

BTW, you may click the icon on the left top of the window of Ideal DVD Copy, then click "Export log file" to get the log file which is called IdealDVDCopy.ilz.
