For intel chip set and XP OS:

(2) Open hardware tab and click device manager.
(3) Select IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.
(4) Right-click the Primary/Secondary IDE Channel icon and select Properties.

For AMD chip set and XP OS:
(1) Right click "My computer" icon on the desktop and select properties.
(2) Open hardware tab and click device manager.
(3) Select "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers".
(4) Right-click the "NVIDIA nForce4 Parallel ATA Controller" and select Properties.
(5) Open the "Secondary Channel" and choose right drive(Attention:it should be your DVD burner not other drives) to check if it is "PIO Mode" in the "Transfer mode" text box. If yes, please check the option "Let BIOS select transfer mode" right under that textbox and then check if the transfer mode turns to "Ultra DMA4-Ultra66". If not, maybe you should enable your DMA mode through your computer BIOS. I suggest you request a help from your computer provider.
(5)Just to click "OK" to save.
