Is there a program within Ideal Copy, for converting AVI on harddrive to DVD? If not, can you recommend one?

Sorry, we don't have such software to burn other video to DVD. You may refer to http://www.online-tech-tips.com/compute ... mv-to-dvd/ (also can support avi to dvd) and hope it is helpful.

There is no a looping or non-looping control within the AVI file itself, the player program does. So you just need to turn off the looping option in Movie Maker.

I saw that nero has a option to to burn VCDs
will i be able to make a AVI into a VCD and play it in a DVD player?

If your dvd player can play avi format directly, you can do that.
