5.1 audiio ripped from DVD using Ideal DVD to Avi Converter

Hello,

I purchased Ideal DVD to Avi Converter and am very happy with this product.

I noticed that all my avi rips are 2 channel audio.

Is there anyway to rip the DVD to avi and retain the 5.1 audio in the avi container file?

Thanks

I'm sorry the current version of our program can't keep 5.1 audio. But I've written down your request, we'll consider it in the future version.

Thanks for the reply!

I am replacing my EVA700 with a PCH A-110 so now I can stream my avi files from my PC with 5.1 sound so I am very interested in this becoming available.

Thanks again!

Hello. We've just released Ideal DVD to Avi Converter 2.0.4. In this version, we support output Ac3 5.1 audio track.
You may click options->configure->profile, choose "Internal MPEG-4 codec" from the "Video Codec" dropdown list. Then you can see the option "Keep AC3 5.1 audio track". Check it. Then when ripping a DVD with AC3 5.1 audio track, the output will be still 5.1.

Please download the new version from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/download.htm to have a try.
