Q: Why is my registration code invalid?
A: You should input your user name and registration code exactly as what you got. We strongly recommend you copy then paste (Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V) them to the register window.

Q: I lost my registration code, what can I do?
A: Feel free to contact us by sending an email to support@idealdvdcopy.com . If you've changed your email address, please tell us the email address you used when you purchased our product.

Q: How can I upgrade my program to the latest version?
A: You may download the latest version from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/download.htm and simply install it on your computer. If there is already an old version on your computer, please first close it.

Q: I got a read error message, what can I do?
A: The read error message means the DVD has been scratched or there is a new protection. Please first check if the surface of the DVD is clean and scratch-less. If you haven't installed the latest version of our software, please download it from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/download.htm and install it. Then try to rip the DVD again and click "Yes" to continue when read error occurs. If you still failed in ripping it, please click "Menu"-->"Export Ifo files" to export all the .ifo files of the original DVD. And then attach the exported files to us, we'll analyze it and help you as soon as possible.

Q: How can I convert a music DVD into chapters?
A: You may click Configure iPod profile to get better quality button on the main window of Ideal DVD to iPod Converter, then click "General" tab on the popup window, check "By chapter" option of "Split mode". Then you will get multiple output files, and each file is for a chapter.

Q: Why the video is pixilated with many squares when previewing?
A: It seems you run other DVD decrypter such as DVD43 or AnyDVD in the background. Our program can decrypt DVD alone. You don't need any other decrypter. On the contrary, they can conflict with our program. Please first close other DVD decrypter, then re-open our program to try again. If your problem persists, please click "Menu"-->"Export Ifo files" to export the all the ifo files of the original DVD, then send the exported file to support@idealdvdcopy.com . We'll analyze it and help you as soon as possible.

Q: Why the screen is full of color stripes when previewing?
A: It seems your system doesn't support the current preview quality. Please click Configue iPod profile to get better quality button on the main window of Ideal DVD to iPod Converter, then click "General" tab on the popup window, check "Low" or "High" option of "Preview Quality" to try again. If your problem persists, please email to support@idealdvdcopy.com for help.

Q: The video and the audio is unsync, how can I solve it?
A: Please first make sure you didn't run other DVD decrypter in the background when converting. Then email to support@idealdvdcopy.com and tell us when the unsync happened, from the beginning, in the middle or in the end. Finally, please click "Menu"-->"Export Ifo files" to export the all the ifo files of the original DVD, then send the exported file to us. We'll analyze it and help you as soon as possible.

Q: What does "No suitable video decoder" mean?
A: This message only occurs when ripping AVI files. If there isn't a proper decoder on your computer, that avi file can't be played either. You may install ffdshow codec to solve this issue. 

Q: How to solve "Can't locate configuration file. Please re-install Ideal DVD to iPod Converter to fix the problem"?
A: The message means you are running our program under a limited or standard user account of windows.
For XP user, you may just re-install Ideal DVD to iPod Converter under the current windows account to fix it.
For Vista user, since there's a strict privilege control, you should install every program under the administrator account, so the configuration file of our program are located in your administrator account too. If you let our program auto-run just after installing,  in fact you are running it under administrator account and everything will be OK. Once you quit and re-launch it, you will get this error message, because this time you are running it under a standard account. Now, you may just right click the icon of "Ideal DVD to iPod Converter", then choose "Run as administrator" from the popup menu. You problem can be fixed. Or you can first log on your windows with administrator account, then re-install our program, all will be OK.

If you meet any error when using our software, please describe it in detail, and then click Windows' Menu "Start"->"All Programs"->"Ideal DVD to iPod Converter"->"Export log" to export the log file of our program, then click "Attach" button on your email composing form, and then a window will pop up. Please choose that exported file from search range window and press "OK", then it will be enclosed in the email.  We'll analyze it and help you as soon as possible.
