Q: How to burn a DVD from hard disk to a blank disc?
A: Please choose "From hard disk..." from the "Source" dropdown list, then select the "VIDEO_TS" folder of the DVD on your hard drive. And then insert a blank DVD, press Start to copy DVD with Ideal DVD Copy button to burn.

Q: How to make multiple copies of a DVD without reduplicate reading?

After reading, a window will pop up for you to set the number of copies.

Q: I got a read error message, what can I do?
A: The read error message means the DVD has been scratched or there is a new copy protection. If you haven't installed the latest version of our software, please download it from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/download.htm and install it first. Then please check if the surface of the DVD is clean and scratch-less. If you have two DVD drives, I suggest you try to copy it from another DVD drive. If you still get the message, please click "yes" when our program ask you to continue with read errors or not. Doing this will skip some unreadable sectors when your DVD has been scratched slightly.
If the DVD still can't be copied and you are sure it hasn't been scratched, please send us all .bup files of the original DVD. You may click the icon on the left top of the window of Ideal DVD Copy, then click "Export bup files" and save it. Then please enclose the exported files in the email. We'll analyze them and help you as soon as possible.

Q: I got "Error occurs when burning" message. What can I do?
A: It means there was a burning error. Usually the problems can be solved by the following guidelines.
(1) If you haven't installed the latest version of our software, please download it from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/download.htm and install it first.
(2) Try a different recordable media. Your DVD Writer may not be compatible with your media. To check if the media you are using is highly compatible with your Writer, please visit http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdwriters and search your DVD Writer to see what users think about the writer and media you are using.
(3) Use a slower burning speed. Please click Config button of Ideal DVD Copy button and then check the option "Choose burning speed, volume name and number of copies before burning" in the Burning page. Then click OK and copy your DVD. After reading, a window will pop up for you to set the burning speed.
(4) Close all other applications while burning.
(5) Make sure the firmware of your DVD Writer is up to date. You can download the latest firmware from the website of your DVD Writer's producer or http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/Home.aspx.
If your problem persists, please email to support@idealdvdcopy.com with the log file of our program in the attachment. You may click Windows' Menu "Start"->"All Programs"->"Ideal DVD Copy"->"Export log" to export it. We'll give you more help.

Q: There wasn't any error, but the copied DVD can't be played on my DVD player. What can I do?
A: It seems that the recordable media is poorly supported by the DVD Writer or DVD player and/or the DVD Writer has some hardware/firmware issues. The following ways may solve your problem.
(1) If you haven't installed the latest version of our software, please download it from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/download.htm and install it first.
(2) Try a different recordable media. The media maybe isn't highly compatible with your writer or DVD player. To check the compatibility between the media and your writer, please visit http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdwriters and search your DVD Writer to see what users think about the writer and media you are using.
(3) Slow down the burning speed. The slower the burning speed, the better the burning quality. So using a lower burning speed may solve this problem.  Please click Config button of Ideal DVD Copy button and then check the option "Choose burning speed, volume name and number of copies before burning" on the Burning page. Then click OK and copy your DVD. After reading, a window will pop up for you to set the burning speed.
(4) Updating your DVD Writer to the latest firmware may help the media be written properly, so it will get better readability on standalone players.
And please play the burned disc on your computer and other DVD players if possible then let us know if it can be played well. We'll analyze your problem and give you more help.

Q: Why it said "there isn't enough space, please set another temporary folder"?
A: That's because there isn't enough space on your hard drive. Our program will first copy the DVD to a temporary folder on your hard drive before burning. You need at least 4.7GB space on that drive. You may click Configuration button of Ideal DVD Copy to go to the configuration window, then pay attention to "Temporary Folder" box to check where the temporary folder is. And then you can delete the files under that folder manually to acquire more space to solve this issue. And I suggest you check the option "Clean temporary directory when finished" on the configuration window, then our program will automatically clean the temporary files after burning.

Q: I have more questions, what should I do?
A: Feel free to send your additional questions, bug reports or suggestions to support@idealdvdcopy.com . Usually we'll reply to you in 1 business day. If there are any errors with our software, please click Windows' Menu "Start"->"All Programs"->"Ideal DVD Copy"->"Export log" to export the log file of our program, then attach it to us, we'll analyze it and help you as soon as possible.
