A: You may download the latest version from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/download.htm and simply install it on your computer. If there is already an old version on your computer, please first close it.

Q: I got a read error message, what can I do?
A: The read error message means the DVD has been scratched or there is a new protection. Please first check if the surface of the DVD is clean and scratch-less. If you haven't installed the latest version of our software, please download it from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/download.htm and install it. Then try to rip the DVD again and click "Yes" to continue when read error occurs. Q: How to convert a music DVD into chapters?
A: You may click Configure PSP profile button on the main window of Ideal DVD to PSP Converter, then click "General" tab on the popup window, check "By chapter" option of "Split mode". Then you will get multiple output files, and each file is for a chapter.

Q: After ripping, the audio is a little low, can I adjust the audio volume of the output file?
A: Yes, you can. You may click Configure PSP profile button on the main window of Ideal DVD to PSP Converter, then click "General" tab on the popup window, check a proper option of "Volume". Usually "x2" is proper. You also can check higher option, but the higher the volume, the higher the noise.

Q: Why the video is pixilated with many squares when previewing?
A: It seems you run other DVD decrypter such as DVD43 or AnyDVD in the background. Our program can decrypt DVD alone. You don't need any other decrypter. On the contrary, they can conflict with our program. Please first close other DVD decrypter, then re-open our program to try again. If your problem persists, please click "Menu"-->"Export Ifo files" to export the all the ifo files of the original DVD, then send the exported file to support@idealdvdcopy.com . We'll analyze it and help you as soon as possible.

Q: Why the screen is full of color stripes when previewing?
A: It seems your system doesn't support the current preview quality. Please click Configue PSP profile to get better quality button on the main window of Ideal DVD to PSP Converter, then click "General" tab on the popup window, check "Low" or "High" option of "Preview Quality" to try again. If your problem persists, please email to support@idealdvdcopy.com for help.

Q: The video and the audio is unsync, how can I solve it?
A: Please first make sure you didn't run other DVD decrypter in the background when converting. Then email to support@idealdvdcopy.com and tell us when the unsync happened, from the beginning, in the middle or in the end. Finally, please click "Menu"-->"Export Ifo files" to export the all the ifo files of the original DVD, then send the exported file to us. We'll analyze it and help you as soon as possible.

Q: Why 480*272 resolution can't work on PSP?
A: That's because PSP doesn't support 480*272 resolution which encoded with MPEG-4 codec. But a file encoded by H.264 codec with that resolution can be imported to PSP. You may choose H.264 codec from "Video Codec" dropdown list on the configuration window to try again.

Q: Why PSP reported the file is corrupted while Ideal DVD to PSP Converter said "Transfer is successful"?
A: Because PSP itself needs several seconds to process the file. You'd better click "Safely remove USB Mass Storage Device" to disconnect your PSP. Or wait just for more seconds to switch from USB mode while our program prompt you "Transfer is successful".

Q: What does the message mean that "No suitable video or audio codec"?
A: The message indicates that there isn't proper decoder on your computer, so our program failed to decode the avi file. You should install a proper decoder first such as ffdshow or k-lite codec package. And we suggest you try ffdshow, you may download it from http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm .

Q: How to fix the issue that "Can't locate configuration file. Please re-install Ideal DVD to PSP Converter to fix the problem"?
A: The problem happened because you are running our program under a limited or standard user account of windows. If your system is vista, please right click the shortcut icon of "Ideal DVD to PSP Converter", then choose "Run as administrator" from the popup menu. Then you can use our program normally. If your system is 2000/XP, please re-install our program under the current account to fix the issue.

Q: Why it will transfer the movie but the movie won't show up on PSP?
A: The problem happened because the firmware of your PSP is below 3.30 which is very old. Our program will automatically transfer the ripped file to "Video" folder of your PSP. But the earlier PSP doesn't have this folder and all the MPEG-4 file must be put under MP_ROOT\100ANV01. If possible, you may just upgrade the firmware to the latest version to solve this issue. If you don't want to upgrade the firmware, just re-transfer that file to MP_ROOT\100ANV01 (MP_ROOT\100MNV01 is for H.264 file) and remember that you shouldn't rename the output file when ripping. They should be as M4Vxxxxx or MAQxxxxx.

Q: What can I do if I have more questions?
A: Feel free to send your additional questions, bug reports or suggestions to support@idealdvdcopy.com . Usually we'll reply to you in 1 business day. If you meet any error when using our software, please describe it in detail, and then click Windows' Menu "Start"->"All Programs"->"Ideal DVD to PSP Converter"->"Export log" to export the log file of our program, then click "Attach" button on your email composing form, and then a window will pop up.
